I never really paid too much attention to a new President's first week before. Don't know why, maybe because I had other things going on at those times in my life but I'm not doing anything this week and I'm really impressed and astounded at how much he's done already. He sure is a hard worker for being 70 years old! My question is...is this normal? Did all presidents accomplish or work as hard the first week in office? I want honest answers, not partisan ones. Doesn't matter if you agreed with whatever the president did, I am just curious if this is normal.
@Chrissy Cross I would think it is not the norm. I am impressed. Frightened a bit, for his own sake. He no doubt realizes that to undo the enormous amount of wrong done over past decades, he must move quickly, or run out of time! Frank
I always pay attention, and previous presidents have pretty much put the things that they promised during the campaign in the closet once they were elected, and that is what all of the pundits told us Trump would do. That doesn't seem to be the case at all.
@Ken Anderson Do you suppose we may take these past few days as evidence of Trump's forthrightness? His earnestness, maybe, or his dedication to commencing as he promised. At any rate, he seems to have not "closeted" the objectives he focussed on. Frank
He has my respect as I too have been pleasantly surprised that he has gone right ahead with his promises to the people of the US Wish we had that here, not been the case so far The only person here, so far - to want the same as Trump has been Farage but of course because he is a good speaker (putting others to shame) the press and the misguided only seek to put him down Pretty much what Trump went through. Both are strong men, a requirement in my opinion
I just read parts of his interview with Hannity last night....he is all down to Business. He says what means, and let the chips fall where they may. This in my opinion shows he's not your typical politician that needs to talk out of both sides of their mouth. He is brutally honest, which is refreshing Even though you may not agree with all he says.
No, they won't ...I wonder how long they'll keep up the negative articles? Probably when they see it's hurting them financially.
Nigel Farage is great. I love to hear him talk. Why did he leave England right after the Brexit vote, though? Fox News has signed him up as a Fox contributor.
He now is going to let people know what these immigrants are doing that the people are not being told
He spent over 20 years trying to get us to this stage Ken and as you can imagine went through worse than Trump from those that didn't want change. No one made valid arguments 'ever', just jibes and threats I have watched countless hours of his speeches and his knowledge of what goes on is outstanding, facts embedded in his mind No one can match him. Back to your question, he has done what he set out to do and deserves to break away now although, he is still giving them what for at the EU arena. He will be there till the end, fighting again if he has to He has nearly died 3 times, accidents and illness, this guy deserves the best life has to offer now
@Joe Riley I cannot get very chummy with the person who railroaded certain bills through Congress which 3/4 of Americans find exceedingly distasteful, Joe. Frank
