Well, Yvonne just got home from having her cardioversion. That's when she gets put out and they shock her heart back into submission. A couple of years ago she had a cardio oblation which is when they go in and fry a few nerves to again, bring a heart back into submitting to the higher authority of her brain.

Hospital language is one that constantly evolves with each new procedure that comes along and seniors are pretty adept at recognizing what is going on with whom just by a short listen or read. But, as we sit in the waiting room we hear some words that do not make any sense in any way shape or form because it is what it is doesn't apply any longer.

A couple of gimme's might be a urinalysis which means a study of someones urine or even a fecalalysis which pretty much sums up what that is. How about an endocrinalysis? Checking out the endocrin system.
Now, if all those "alysis" are pretty much self explanatory, then what is an "analysis"?
    Nope, doesn't mean that, butt....................?

One thing I did not mention in the above post was the incident that happened on the way to the dungeon. Uh, that's that name I came up with because I did expect something akin to the Frankenstein lab where they had all of the big tesla coils with bolts of electricity humming and zapping everywhere. Nope, it was just a room with "stuff".
    I digress.

Anywho, the kind nurse was leading Yvonne's entourage (Robin and myself respectively) past a lady in the waiting room. As we were passing the nurse asked my wife if she was going to get shocked today and Yvonne answered with a rather sprite "yes". The lady heard what the nurse and my wife said and instantly looked as if she were going into cardiac arrest herself with a look that was absolutely priceless. The look stayed when Robin passed and then when I was passing she moved her head and eyes to meet mine and I simply looked at her and said, Yup! Poor lady looked like a guppy with her eyes opened extra wide and mouth gaping as if waiting for the hook and worm.

Later, when Robin and I went out into the waiting room the lady was still there and Robin struck up a conversation with her. It seems that she was an EMS and never heard of someone getting shocked who was still walking which is why she was so.......shocked........herself.

Uh, kinda sort of like this lady............. IMG_0476.JPG

If a urinalysis is a urine study then it might follow that a analysis is an anal study.

It appears that all went well with the procedure, so that's a positive thing. I'm sure Yvonne's used to it by now, but any procedure is cause for a bit of concern. I've never had an issue with being knocked out, but my mother and also a friend do have issues, and so they get alarmed when it's required. Hopefully this means Yvonne's feeling better and her heart is working better now.
