I love the idea of this. I've seen stories of small mailbox type structures used as shared libraries, but this is very nice because it will hold more. Of course, here in my area, I'm sure the teens and young 'adults' would be in there drinking and probably having sex, but I prefer to think of people using it for finding good reading material.

I tried to find the pic of the little play house, but it is very small, no bigger than like a School Bus Shelter really;)

@Denise Happyfeet I think perhaps your Library2go is the Oregon page/section/portal of Overdrive, which is what a lot of libraries use to disseminate materials. I looked, and it seems to be specific to Oregon. I the HooplaDigital is something more universal, and functions as an adjunct to the materials specific to the local libraries.

That's adorable. A friend had one when we were young, and it was a little bigger. We used to go in there to escape from her teasing brother. When I win the lottery, I'll have one for the kitties, inside my courtyard, which will be in the center of the house, so they can't escape into the big bad world. :p;):D

Yes, totally correct and I forgot to mention having to download the app for overdrive. That was the first step. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. The whole thing confused me in the beginning, but then I got the whole hang of it.

I just think it's so wonderful, I want everyone to be aware of it. So many good books out there to read, and we don't have to spend any money if they are in the library. I can't say enough about the readers you can get now. Like the Kindles, Nooks. I know some folks only want their hard-copies, and that's great, but this was such a good deal for me. I even took my Nook camping, and as long as I had an internet connection I could download other books no matter how far I was from my "home" library;)

Heres a link all about Overdrive/libraries

Well, I finally finished off the trio set I was reading, and after having tried out a few crappy freebies, I've found a book I'm happy with. I can't remember if I paid for this or if it was free, but I'm enjoying it. The book is called Malevolent, and it's a detective novel, by E.H. Reinhard. I think it's #1 in a series, and if the others go on sale, I'll probably read them as well, as long as I can afford them.

That's how I am with my books too @Diane Lane I'll read samples, or freebies (start them) or mostly I'll find them in my library. It is hard to finish a really good one, and find another that grabs me. Some of the ones I'm reading lately are by authors that really know how to grab you from page 1. Those I love;) and most don't disappoint as I move on through to the end;)

I found two good free ones in my email from Bookbub today, plus another that I purchased for $.99. I really hope that I like the books, but if not, at least they were free, or in the case of the third, very cheap. They all had very good ratings over on Amazon. There was another I looked at, and it sounded good, but when I looked at the Amazon reviews, they weren't the greatest, so I passed on it.

Tell me what you like in a book @Diane Lane and maybe I know of a few for you. I know what I like, but everyone has their own tastes;) I've sure read a lot, and really, I should write reviews for them because I think people do rely on what is written by someone outside the author, and their friends that endorse their book;)

I bought a "cute little red book" called "When Elves Attack, by Tim Dorsey, at the dollar store. I almost bought the four that were on the shelf, thinking it was for children. How wrong I was! I started it, and found it to be a funny, but adult oriented sample of crime and mayhem. Seems to promise a thoroughly enjoyable read.;)

I finished The Girl On The Train. The story kept me interested and the killer was a surprise but I wouldn't call it a great book, I'll probably watch the movie if it come on tv.

Mine is still on hold at my library2go @Sheldon Scott I started reading it a year ago, about that. So I'll go back and try it again. Those newer "bestsellers" are a long wait, 13 ahead of me last time I looked, lol;)

I'm reading No Way Out, by Joel Goldman. I read at least one other of his books and liked it, so I jumped on this when I saw it for free the other day.
