Certainly does look like a dog. Very handsome and healthy. When I lived in the UK, very late at night you would often see them trotting down the street as I lived in the country. Very shy creatures. :)

I've seen one from far away at my sister house in NJ. She lives on 13 acres and a lake. I've also seen a mama bear with cubs in her yard.

Fox are such cute creatures, especially when they don't know you're watching, as they are very playful, chasing each other around, play fighting, and if they come across something that might be a dog toy, they instantly recognize it as a toy. It's too bad they kill cats.

My cat once biffed a cat across the nose. The Fox ran away terrified. My cat was blind too and must have though it was another cat.

I also probably would have thought that was a dog. I don't think I've ever seen a fox in real life, unless it was in a zoo somewhere. My mom has them in her yard sometimes, but I don't think we have them here. That's definitely a shame @Ken Anderson, because of course I would have to root for the cat in that case, and stop the fox. I've seen videos of them playing with dog toys, and would love to someday see them in real life.

We had a pet fox for a couple of years until she decided it was time for her to become a fox. She was raised with our cats and dogs though, so she never bothered them. She never even went after our chickens, for that matter. Fox are fairly common here, which doesn't mean that they are seen often though, because they are shy.

I have seen them a few times in this area, but they aren't usually spotted during the day because of course they are noturnal. There was one where my son used to live who used to periodically chase his cat. The smart little cat would scamper up a tree though, Robbie said he could hear the cat's bell ringing like crazy when the fox was about. He said it seemed like it became a game for them after awhile.

I friended Valerie Bertinelli on Facebook awhile back and this was in my feedback today.

I don't mean I'm friends with her, lol. Just "like" her page.

Coyotes and foxes will eat cats I'm sure.

My daughter has coyotes in her backyard sometimes also....we don't let Pickles out for long.

I understand that. Julian Lennon (John Lennon's son) is on my friend's list. Once he commented on something that I posted, and he has "liked" a couple of posts, although surely not any of the political ones.

Unfortunately, yes. That's a hungry looking fox in the photo, too.

Valerie lost a lot of "friends" last week when she made an anti Trump post. I never comment or like anything she says so I just left it.

She will read and respond to some comments.though.
