As you can see, each category of this forum has a number of sub-forums beneath it, separated into two columns.

I am a big fan of symmetry, and I think it looks odd when there is an uneven number of sub-forums. For example, the "Education & Entertainment" and "Hot Button Issues" categories have 5 sub-forums, "Getting it Done" has 7, and "On The Light Side" has 3, and it would look prettier if they each had an even number.

There is no rush, but if you can think of one additional sub-forum to add to each of these, it would help a lot with my OCD.

I am SO laughing at this, Ken ! I think I must be the opposite , since I often try to arrange things asymmetrically, so that it looks more natural.
For instance, if I am planting flowers; I try to plant an odd number and not arrange them in any particular order colorwise. I guess (upon reflection) that I might be a tad bit OCD also; it just comes out differently than yours does.
Mostly, I am pretty haphazard, I think, and just as long as it has what it needs , I am fine.
However.......my mother stressed that clothes HAVE to match; so that is one area where I am seriously OCD. Even black has to match with the other black, and not be a lighter shade of black.
Anyway, I will look at your forums and see if I can suggest any other subforums, so you won't keep losing sleep over it.

I am selectively OCD. While I might rearrange the salt and pepper shakers and sugar packets at a restaurant, my own office is a mess. In my defense, the cats are responsible for a lot of this, as I can only pick things up off the floor so many times before I come to realize that cats outnumber people in this household by one, and they clearly believe that things belong on the floor. About the only time that I am inclined to straighten things up in my office is when I have something else that I really need to be working on.

My wife and I were sitting at a small fast food place during a calm part of the day. There was barely anyone else in the place except us, a couple of 2 tops and one older lady sitting just about 7 feet near us.

The lady had a small burger and had obviously ordered extra pickles. Her back was toward my wife but I could see her hands from where I was sitting. She first, extremely meticulously spread her mustand so as to reach every edge and corner and with the same depth throughtout the area. Then, she took her little plastic knife and cut each small crinkle cut pickle in half. After she saw that each slice was cut perfectly, she armed herself a toothpick and picked up each half slice with it and gently layed it on top of the mustard. She did so with so much tenderness so as to, seemingly, not harm the depth of the mustard. One half piece at a time, the pickles were arranged on the mustard covered bun until every available micro bit of the mustard was covered.

When she finished with the later maneuver it came time to put the meat on the mustard and half-slice pickle covered bun. She put the pickle-pick aside and chose two more toothpicks we shall, for future use, call the "pattie pickers," She then stuck the meat pattie with her pattie pickers and then lowered the pattie onto the mustard and half-sliced crinkle cut pickles covered bun. She looked upon her master piece with the pride only a prize pickle and pattie picker placer could have. Then the top bun. Yes, there has to be a top bun. That succulent sourdoubh sesame seeded sandwich topper with a potentially proponderous specially picked pickle padded pattie underneath. We left before she finally finished........Now.......THAT's OCD. .

Okay, my OCD is getting better. All that I need now is one more sub-forum for the "Hot Button Issues" and "On the Lighter Side" categories.

Maybe something to do with energy today. I personally do not like the wind turbines taking up major acreage but my wife seems to like them. Nuclear plants, pipelines, oil rigs, wind mills, solar stuff, back yard oil wells, taxes, carbon footprints, ect.........There's a lot of controversary about the Keystone thing and what O'Bama has to say about it. Hope it helps the OCD. If not....I tried. (including this, that was seventy-two words)

Sure Ken, I don't see why not. Today in the news there was some kind of meeting (I only caught part of it) among a bunch of rich folks and they counted 1,700 private planes. Apparently one of the topics they are going to discuss is "global warming." Talk about a carbon foot print!

Oh yeah, my wife thought something about weather might go in that catagory too. You know, storms, solar flares, ect.

Global warming can fit into the conspiracies sub-forum. I have created a category for "Energy & Fuel." Now we have only one odd-ball category, which is "On the Lighter Side," which needs one additional topic.

Okay Ken, you have covered the bad, ugly, indifferent and funny but how about some Good News! What wonderful thing have you heard or done *today*!! A few weeks ago the ambulance had to show up for a man who had a heart attack. He was mowing his lawn when he had his episode. The fire department got the guy to the hospital and then went back to his house and finished doing his yard work for him. Everybody needs to hear something good. The Fergusens, O'Bama's and Terrorists have all of the regular news occupied so the good stuff rarely gets anywhere near the headlines. All cops are not bad and there are some really great integrated towns out there with some really good things that happen.

Okay I have been watching (well really being my normal troll like self) and I think i have a solution for the odd number in "on the lighter side" If this were mine I would add a button called "Seriously" (thats my word of disbelief these days- you should have been around during the valley girl era if you think this I bad :D) Or maybe call it "Fail" or "You got to be kidding" or something in that gist.

The concept is an area where we can post the truly absurd things we come upon in our day to day travels. Just when I think I have heard it all someone comes along with something else that is just unbelievable. I manage to see, hear and find somethings that I just can't seem to believe, from real life people no less. I think it would be a hit as far as popular topics go.

Hmmm Maybe "Can you believe it?" or "Stuff You Can't Make Up?" or maybe just "What?"

"What" might leave a bit to the imagination and some of us have some pretty amazing imaginations. So, I think one of the other two would be great! It gives everybody something to go to first thing to read and add to. Better than the comics and the crosswords in the newspaper I think. I always go to them first then get the other news.

;) Yup see I am not the only joker in the crowd, I agree though! You know how when you used to come home after work or school or something, someone like your mom or spouse would say how has your day been- and you start to tell them about the crazy stuff that happened? That's the place for that! When your as old as we are there has been plenty of really insane stuff that has happened.

True enough, and good news is certainly a welcome topic for discussion, too.

Are you suggesting, maybe, a sub-forum of the "On the Lighter Side" category for happy talk? What sort of a description could I use for a "Happy Talk" sub-forum?
