I think we have a book that contains some predictions of Nostradamus. It was published by Readers Digest sometime in the 1980s and my husband bought one because of the book's title - Amazing Facts. There are 2 things that I remember from the predictions in that book. First is the prediction about Hitler and in the quatrain (it's like a poem) the name Hister was clearly indicated. Second is the rise of the Anti-Christ from the east which is pointing to China. Take note that in the 1980s, China was unheard of as a world power and the only characteristic that country has is their big population. Now China is flexing its muscles in the South China Sea issue.

I like reading the predictions, too. However, these are way off. North and South Korea merge? No way. Does any one remember a psychic by the name of Jean Dixon I think her name was. My mom would read her predictions in the newspaper. Apparently she was fairly accurate.

Does he make any mention of the event popularly known as ''The Singularity''...? Actually, that isn`t supposed to be for another 15, or 20 years. But, nevertheless, i think that i have, more or less, got it all figured out about what`s destined to happen during the remainder of this century. Mind you...for honest to goodness, clear cut, unambiguous prophecies of what is to come, one would find it pretty hard to go past The Gospels, in the New Testament. Especially, St. Matthew. But, of course, THAT would mean having to dig in to..(gasp....!).. the Bible. Be sure to do it in the strictest privacy. Otherwise, you may well be labelled a ''religious nutter'' by the authorities...!!

I don't put much stock in predictions that are so vague and generalized. Most times, the one making the predictions employ the shotgun method. They throw out a bunch of predictions. If only a couple strike home, those will be much publicized, but forget all about the many others that failed.

Hi Hugh, and Welcome to the forum! I agree that the Bible is the best source for prophesies of end times.

We can either rely on the prophecies of past prophets or we can start predicting our own future by the actions we take in the present, and yes even some of those were predicted by Nostradamus and others.Still, even if some predictions are accurate, that does not mean the happenings are necessarily inherit, for has it has been seen, people and time have the ability to change the present and future while not the past - Food for thought - Just sayin'

And, in that regard, here's my prediction:

No one will be happy with the final outcome in the upcoming election. Some might perceive happiness if one or the other main candidate were to win; However, true happiness for many people will only come about if and when there is Peace On Earth. As such, there will be many people experiencing extreme highs/lows and drastic mood swings in the future.

Unless we can find a way to create Peace in the Middle East, the threat of a third World War, which many believe is already underway in relation to Russia/Syria/U.S. though that is most likely a minor conflict in comparison to what might be expected or predicted in futuretime, though again the People and Time have the ability to change things for the better.

As where we will be in 20 years, many jobs will be replaced by robots whom have no worries in relation to wage increases or layoffs based on personal ideologies or differences. In fact, there are already a number of companies replacing human employees with androids and other aspects of artificial intelligence. Hec, an AI just wrote and recorded a song somewhat akin to the Beatles, if that's possible, we're in trouble.

In large part, SS will remain in tact, unless power overcomes the will of the people, especially Seniors so while possible SS will go bankrupt, it will most likely take a great deal of time as younger generations are still paying into the fund, something the media tends to overlook. And, as Seniors paid into SS along with matching employers, there must be some acknowledgement and repayment of those funds, or we so hope. Sadly, those receiving SSDI may not see the same good fortune as others whom actually paid into the fund.

When it comes to religion, there are so many different beliefs that it is hard to say what will be the case in relation to God/Jesus/Buddha or other higher powers. For, while some may share a specific Faith, or denomination or belief or no belief, the ultimate truth is no one will know the answer to whether heaven and hell exist or otherwise, until death.

And, with that, I'm done. Thanks for having a forum to speak out, stay vocal and keep on keepin on' - After all, no one ever knows just how long we have left to save ourselves or our planet. Peace & Out.
