I have a really huge plush collection from when my son was a small child. Now that he's an adult, he said he no longer needs them and that I can sell them. After some research, I discovered that most of them are worth about 30 bucks a piece, and that would be amazing. However, I never sold anything on Ebay before, and I am a bit confused. I know that after a sale, the money comes into your Paypal account, but does the client also cover the shipping fees? How much would international shipping cost me, given that I am from Romania?
Yes, this does take research to decide how much shipping you should place on an item before placing it on ebay. Years ago when I did ebay auctions I had a scale that told me how much something weighed, I also did research on the postal service website. This can give you a whole lot of information about shipping charges. Now I am in the United States, so I don't know too much about international cost. Also, keep in mind with Ebay there will also be fees that will be placed on the auction. These will be told to you in your seller area of your profile page on the website. So, doing ebay auctions isn't as easy as it sounds there are things that need to be taken into consideration. The best advice I can give you is to do research into shipping cost and into the fees that will be placed on the item. by ebay itself.
I think I kinda figured it out. I'll have to calculate the shipping fees to all countries of Europe, and place my items on ebay.de or ebay.co.uk, and this way I'll know for sure how much to tax the bidders for shipping. Thanks a lot for the help!
I also want to sell on ebay.com. I'm glad you asked this question. I found junkables.com and soldster.com/ granted these are American companies, but there sites that you can sell your items aside of ebay. com too. I'd do research too for options in your country too. I'm researching now too for we're older now and we'd like to sell many things we collected throughout time. They are not collections just things we have bought as time went by. Good luck in selling and don't forget you got to pay taxes on what you make selling-check with your accountant.
The seller either figures out the shipping and handling at home or having an estimate done at the post office or UPS. We then would e-mail the cost of shipping and handling to the buyer.

But if your lost to go on You-tube there are many videos on selling and buying on Ebay. His quote, "You-tube is better then sliced bread." Ebay is the oldest buying and selling place on the Internet, and an old standby. There are so many new selling sites. He also said, "Remember selling on the internet, you have the whole world as your customers."
These are a few selling sites other then eBay: Craigslist, 99Designs, Copious and Threadflip, Amazon, Etsy, Zibbet, Bonanza, Sears SEARS oh yes they offer a marketplace for sellers, a monthly fee. Then a site called Your Online Store. They help you get setup with your own store, and whatever craft or writing you want to sell.
The seller can specify whether shipping is included in the bid price or not. A seller can add the cost of shipping onto the final charge but they will generally receive fewer bids when they do that. My wife uses a scale but she has a good idea of what the shipping charges are going to be for most items. Once in a while, she'll find that something cost more than she had charged, but mostly it evens out.
